Privacy Policy

PortiFi is built around local, on-device privacy.
This policy is focused on the native iOS app, the public waitlist, and the data needed for the features you choose to use.

Overview
This policy covers the native PortiFi iOS app and public launch waitlist. PortiFi is a private portfolio tracking app operated by Cold Start Software LLC. It is designed to keep core portfolio tracking, camera scanning, and supported AI insights local and on device where possible.

Data We Collect
- Account data: Email address, sign-in information, and account identifiers for authentication, sync, support, and account management.
- Waitlist data: Email address, signup source, referrer, and email delivery status when you join the public launch waitlist.
- Portfolio data: Assets, symbols, quantities, cost basis, notes, transactions, alerts, snapshots, watchlists, and related metadata you enter or import.
- Wallet addresses: Public blockchain addresses when you choose to add them. PortiFi never asks for private keys or seed phrases.
- Usage, diagnostics, and purchases: App interactions, technical diagnostics, crash data, and subscription status used to improve reliability and unlock paid features.

Data We Do Not Collect
- Private keys or wallet seed phrases
- Brokerage or bank login credentials in the current app
- Social Security numbers, government IDs, bank account numbers, or payment card numbers
- Contacts, messages, call logs, precise location, or biometric data
- Advertising identifiers for third-party tracking

AI, Photos, and Camera
PortiFi's native iOS portfolio insights and camera scanning are designed to run on device. Scanning uses Apple's on-device Vision framework, and images selected in the iOS app are not uploaded for scanning. Supported AI insights run on device where available, with local calculations as a fallback. PortiFi does not send your portfolio data to AI providers and does not use your portfolio data to train AI models.

Storage and Security
Portfolio data may be stored locally on your device, synced through Supabase when you use account features, or backed up through iCloud when enabled. Data is encrypted in transit, and sensitive holding, transaction, liability, and note fields are encrypted before supported cloud sync.

Server-Backed Features
Some optional features need network requests. Waitlist signup, account sync, market data, wallet lookups, valuation lookups, collectible pricing, price alerts, subscriptions, diagnostics, and push notifications may send the minimum needed request data to PortiFi servers and service providers. PortiFi does not sell your data, share it with advertisers, track you across other companies' apps or websites, or use your portfolio data to train AI models.

Third-Party Services
PortiFi uses service providers for hosting, authentication, email delivery, subscriptions, diagnostics, analytics, market data, pricing, wallet lookups, valuation lookups, push notifications, and asset imagery. These providers process data only as needed to provide their services to PortiFi under privacy and security obligations consistent with this policy.

Retention and Choices
We keep account, waitlist, and server data while needed to operate requested features, maintain security, prevent fraud, or comply with law. You can revoke optional permissions in iOS Settings, opt out of analytics in PortiFi Settings where available, request waitlist removal by email, and delete your account and associated server data from Settings → Wipe All Data, except where limited retention is required.

Children’s Privacy
PortiFi is not directed to children under 13 and is not offered in the App Store Kids Category. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to PortiFi, contact support@portifi.app and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
